The Admission Process

Day Waterman College (DWC) is a selective school, in terms of seeking students with sound academic ability as well as strengths in the areas of sports and the arts.  We offer a broad, rigorous programme and are looking for evidence of a student’s preparation to succeed at DWC.

Application forms may be purchased from the DWC Liaison Office, Ikoyi, or from the College.  Application forms will only be sold to parents whose child meets the entry age criteria.  Application forms cost 10,000 Naira.

Application forms should be submitted together with a copy of the child’s birth certificate, a passport photograph and the latest school report from the child’s current school.  Incomplete applications, and those not on an original form, will not be considered.

Students seeking admission into Year 7 at the start of a school year in September must reach the age of 11 years by the 31st August in that same year.

Application forms will not be sold to children who do not meet the age entry requirements.

Entrance exams are held at the end of January followed by assessments and interviews on 26th & 27th February.  A supplementary examination will be held on Saturday 6th March 2010, at the College.

Candidates who are successful in the entrance examinations will be invited to the College for interviews and assessment activities.
