In May we took the whole school on a field trip to Osun and Ekiti states. We visited the National Museum and the Ooni's Palace at Ife, the Sacred Grove at Osogbo, played sports with Olashore school, visited the Natural history Museum and the Fine Art dept at Ife University before exploring the Hot Springs at Ikogosi and the Waterfalls at Erin-Ijesha.
Day 1 was spent in Ife at the National Museum learning about the Yoruba heritage through artifacts gathered and displayed in Ife. This included a visit to the pottery museum where students saw a wide range of difffernet pots used for a variety of purposes from producing music to a fridge. We then went on to the Ooni's Palace where we saw how a comtemporary palace looks and functions.
