Year 7 to 11. Boarding for all. Opening to Year 7 and 8 Only in the first year.
Is the school co-educational?
Yes
What is the total school population?
Approximately 700 students at full capacity, 200 students in the first year.
How early can I apply to Day Waterman College?
As early as one year in advance
What documents are required for applications?
Cheques must be made payable to: Day Waterman Company Ltd.
Is there an application deadline?
No: Admission Forms are available in the School office all year round and Forms can be downloaded on-line. Applications are accepted as early as July 1 in the year preceding admission (we accept applications for September starting July 1 of the preceding year. We continue to accept applications until all available spaces in the entering class are full. When a Year set becomes full, we create a waiting list from which we may draw students should a space become available.
All applying students will be subjected to placement tests which are run on private appointments in the school office OR in an organized "Entrance Examinations'' arranged in various centers across the country on advertised dates.
Places will be allocated on first come first served basis.
Are "yes" and "no" the only decisions that you make on my child's application?

What does Day Waterman College look for in applicants?
As we are offering a broad, rigorous program, we are looking for evidence of a young person's preparation to succeed at DWC. We look at the whole child, paying particular attention to:
Will my child be able to continue to develop their preferred musical instrument skills at DWC or would they have to give it up?
No.Students will be assisted to pursuing and maintaining their musical interests at DWC, we will help find the skill developers as much as possible( For an added fee) and also strike a balance between these the DWC and extra-curricula activities.
Does my child need a personal interview?
YES! All applicants will be interviewed on school site or at the Lagos Liaison Office.
I live a long way from DWC. How can I meet with someone from the Admissions team?
Yes, If you call to make a specific appointment in the Lagos Liaison Office this will be arranged for you.
How many new students do you enrol each year?
In Year 7, we'll enrol 100 students all boarders.
How competitive is the applicant pool?
Admission to DWC is highly selective and the applicant pool quite is already competitive.
What required fees can I expect to pay?
Application fee: NGN 10,000
One time payment, Non Refundable Development Levy: NGN 350,000 due upon family's acceptance of offer of admission to DWC.
School fees: NGN 1, 651,000 per annum
Refundable Deposit: NGN 150,000
Is the non-refundable Development Levy deducted from the School fees?
No.
I'm very interested in DWC but I'm not sure I can afford the full fee. Does DWC offer financial assistance?
Yes, DWC offers some of the schools place as bursaries. DWCollege is committed to offering financial assistance to families who would otherwise not have the means to a DWC Education. In addition to having demonstrated financial need, students must be outstanding scholars and good citizens.
What do the fees cover?
Fees cover tuition, boarding, books, all activities and programs that are part of the DWC curriculum. Costs for the uniforms and private extra lessons are not covered.
Why should we consider sending our child to a boarding school?
Students thrive at boarding schools because of the opportunities and care they offer.
What does the boarding experience offer?
In residence, students learn important and lasting life skills. Students grow as independent thinkers, responsible young adults and confident problem solvers. When they enter university, they can draw from their experience within DWC's supportive and encouraging Residential Life structure and Complete Care Educational System.
Can boarding students become day students?
No. Without exception DWC is a boarding only school.
How does DWC prepare students for university and beyond?
Our mission is "To educate and equip students to become major contributors to, leaders in, and valued representatives of their Nigerian and international communities.

Do you have a full listing of courses?
The students will sit the IGCSEs from University of Cambridge International Examinations in their final year.
The curriculum has been structured to ensure that the students receive the adequate training and information required to ensure they are prepared for most careers and is split into 5 areas:
Students will be required to take a minimum of 8 subjects for the IGCSE's.
In year 9 all students will sit the Cambridge International Examinations(CIE)Check-points tests.

What is the average class size?
Average class size in Year 7 to 11 is 25 students.
What languages can students learn?
We teach English, French, Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa Languages
Does DWCollege have French immersion?
No.
Does DWC have Saturday classes?
Yes. We have a rigorous academic program that we fit into a Monday through Half-day on Saturday morning class schedule.
Calendar: School runs from the beginning of September to the end of June each year.
Does the school have a religious affiliation?
Respecting all faiths, Students will be assisted to practice their own faith. DWC has no religious affiliations.
